With only a few days before election day, I have been speaking with people and reading blogs about reasons why Filipinos vote for their candidates. I have compiled a list of outrageous reasons why they vote for their candidates. Here are some:
1. I have his sticker on my car.
2. He's giving a lot of houses, I might have one.
3. He's my idol, he gave me a shirt.
4. He's cute.
5. My crush/ showbiz idol is supporting him.
6. He didn't give me a baller, I'll just go for another candidate.
7. He's good so he wouldn't be corrupt.
8. He has great parents.
9. He's the one who's going to win anyway.
10. He's already rich, he wouldn't steal anymore.
11. He always smiles.
12. and a lot more.
Public officials will hold office for either 3 or 6 years. Let's take this election seriously. Let's vote wisely. Investigate. Be a proud voter of your candidate.
